Lola’s story
Lola Wearne was born with an eye condition that can lead
to sight loss – bilateral congenital glaucoma. However,
thanks to the patient care at Moorfields, her vision
remains almost a decade later.
Lola’s mother, Laura Massey said:
Everyone at Moorfields has always been so lovely
and kind. The staff are very attentive and caring to
Lola, making our many visits and long journeys easier.
Because of this, Lola has always looked forward to
going to Moorfields, whether that be for a follow up
appointment or for an operation. Lola is nearly 10 now
and has had 6 operations to date, to save her eyesight.
