Impact and
evaluation
Our grants strategy will ensure that
everything we fund has the potential
to bring us closer to creating a better
future in sight and eye health. By
monitoring and measuring the impact
of the work we fund, we can ensure we
stay on track to meeting that ambition,
while adapting to changes in our
funding landscape.
We will continue to improve and
build upon our impact and evaluation
assessment measures for both our core
grant programmes and our strategic
initiatives throughout this strategy’s
duration. Yet, we recognise that
research can take a long time to lead to
demonstrable impact for people affected
by sight loss, and so we need to build
a framework that acknowledges and
measures the different ways our work can
have an impact.
We will support the dissemination of
research findings and good practice from
activities funded by our grants. We will
continue to publish news and impact
stories through our own channels to share
key discoveries and developments with our
community.
We will continue to produce
an annual impact report for our charity,
and share our work with supporters, grant
holders and other partners.
